The course covers the following aspects: *General safety *4x4 Systems, drive trains, traction & Stability control and ABS *Differentials & differential locks *4x4 Types such as: soft-roaders (vehicles without low range), AWD’s, 4WD’S , 2WD with diff-lock *High and low range usage *Approach, departure, brakeover and roll over angles *Gearing & correct momentum *Cross-axeling *Basic vehicle recovery *Techniques for negotiating various terrains such as: Sand, grass, mud, rocks, water or river crossings, gravel, tar & side slopes *Gradients: ascents, descents, stall starts, etc Rates:R 850 per vehicle with 1 driver R 250 per passenger Location:Pelindaba nuclear research facility grounds situated near the Hartbeespoort Dam Duration:Half day and you are welcome to use the braai facilities or pack a picnic basket to be enjoyed whilst overlooking the majestic cliffs and panorama of the Crocodile River.

Guided Self Drive & Self Catered overland Camping Safari. Own vehicle & equipment nessecary (Vehicle & equipment hire can be arranged). Our experienced guide will lead the expedition in a support vehicle allowing you the exhilaration of self discovery together with safety & security Expedition departing from Johannesburg passing the famous Jozini Dam and visiting the Kosi Bay lake system then crossing into Mozambique. Weather permitting, you’ll be able to swim with the dolphins, snorkel or even dive the breathtaking reefs. The safari heads north along the spectacular Southern Mozambiquian coast, crossing through the Elephant reserve heading all the way up to the beautiful Santa Maria & return. Max of 4 pax per vehicle & max of 6 vehicles. 5-6 Days From Johannesburg to Mozambique, Kruger Park, Lowveld and return. Not included (self catering) Not included (self catering) Camping or lodge accommodation is included (own camping equipment is required & can be hired if need be).
